Dad Time at the Ballpark: Nachos and Fun

This last weekend, I took my son out for a minor league baseball game, not because we’re hardcore baseball fans, but because dad time one-on-one is important.

Honestly, most of our time wasn’t even spent watching the game. My son was far more interested in nachos, ice cream, and repeatedly visiting the kids’ play area. And that’s exactly why we went.

Between his endless snack runs and playing games, we laughed, joked, and enjoyed simply hanging out together. Sure, we caught some of the action on the field, but the real fun was just being out with him, free of distractions, enjoying the simple moments.

Dad time isn’t always picture-perfect or focused on big events—it’s often about nachos, playful interruptions, and relaxed moments together.

That’s why I prioritize these outings. They’re not about what we do, but the fact that we do them together. Here’s to more dad time—nachos and all.
